Privacy Policy

This notice describes how Organically SEO LLC ("we," "us," "our") collects, stores, uses, and shares your information when you visit organicallyseo.com or engage with us through sales, marketing, or events. Last updated May 1, 2023.

The short version: we collect what you give us plus standard technical data, we have never sold it, and you can ask what we hold or have it deleted by emailing ryan.organically@gmail.com.

What information we collect

You give us personal information voluntarily when you ask about our services, participate in activities on the site, or contact us. Depending on the context, that can include:

  • Names
  • Phone numbers
  • Email addresses
  • Mailing addresses

Information collected automatically

We do not process sensitive personal information, and we receive no information about you from third parties.

Certain technical data is collected automatically when you visit. It keeps the site secure and running and feeds our internal analytics:

  • Log and usage data: IP address, browser type and settings, pages and files viewed, searches, date and time stamps, and error reports
  • Device data: hardware model, operating system, application identifiers, and your internet service provider or mobile carrier
  • Location data: precise or imprecise location based on your IP address and device settings. You can disable Location on your device, though some features may stop working

How we use your information

We process personal information to provide, improve, and administer the services, communicate with you, prevent fraud, and comply with the law. In practice that means:

  • Responding to your inquiries and support requests
  • Sending administrative details about our products, terms, and policies
  • Enabling communication between users where a feature allows it
  • Requesting feedback about your use of the services
  • Sending marketing and promotional messages, which you can opt out of at any time
  • Protecting someone's vital interest, such as preventing harm

Legal bases for processing

If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR and UK GDPR require a valid legal basis for processing. We rely on consent (which you can withdraw at any time), performance of a contract, legitimate interests (such as telling users about offers and understanding how the services get used so we can improve them), legal obligations, and vital interests.

If you are in Canada, we process your information with your express or implied consent. Limited legal exceptions apply, such as fraud investigations or compliance with a subpoena, warrant, or court order.

When we share personal information

We may share your personal information in a few specific situations:

  • Business transfers: during a merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or part of our business
  • Affiliates: parent companies, subsidiaries, or joint venture partners, who must honor this privacy notice
  • Business partners: to offer you certain products, services, or promotions
  • Other users: anything you post to public areas of the services can be viewed by anyone, indefinitely

How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only as long as the purposes in this notice require, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law (tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).

Once there is no ongoing business need, we delete or anonymize it. If deletion is impossible because the data sits in backup archives, we store it securely and isolate it from further processing until deletion becomes possible.

How we keep your information safe

We use organizational and technical security measures designed to protect any personal information we process. No electronic transmission or storage technology is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee that hackers or other unauthorized parties will never defeat our security. Transmission of personal information to and from the services is at your own risk, and you should only access them from a secure environment.

Information from minors

We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18. By using the services, you represent that you are at least 18, or that you are the parent or guardian of a minor and consent to their use. If we learn we have collected personal information from anyone under 18, we deactivate the account and delete the data promptly. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children, contact ryan.organically@gmail.com.

Your privacy rights

In some regions, including the EEA, UK, and Canada, you have rights under data protection law: to access and obtain a copy of your personal information, to request rectification or erasure, to restrict processing, to data portability where applicable, and to object to processing. We act on every request in accordance with applicable law.

If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we are processing your information unlawfully, you can complain to your data protection authority. In Switzerland, contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.

If processing relies on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that already happened.

To stop marketing messages, reply STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE to any SMS we send, or contact us directly. Service-related messages about your account will still reach you. Questions about your rights go to ryan.organically@gmail.com.

Do-Not-Track signals

No uniform standard for recognizing Do-Not-Track browser signals has been finalized, so we do not currently respond to them. If a standard we must follow is adopted, we will say so in a revised version of this notice.

California privacy rights

California's "Shine The Light" law (Civil Code Section 1798.83) lets California residents request, once a year and free of charge, the categories of personal information we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing, along with those parties' names and addresses. California residents under 18 with a registered account can request removal of data they posted publicly, though copies may persist in backups.

Under the CCPA, in the past twelve months we have collected: identifiers (name, address, phone, email, IP address), customer-records information, protected classification characteristics (gender, date of birth), commercial information, internet activity, geolocation data, and professional or employment-related information. We have collected no biometric, education, inference, or sensitive personal information. Collected categories are retained as long as you have an account with us.

Organically SEO LLC has never disclosed, sold, or shared personal information to third parties for a business or commercial purpose, and will not in the future.

Your CCPA rights include: deletion of your data, knowing what we collect and why, non-discrimination for exercising your rights, and opting out of any future selling or sharing (we act on opt-out requests within 15 days). We verify requests by matching the information you provide against what we have on file. Authorized agents must submit proof of authorization. To exercise these rights, email ryan.organically@gmail.com.

Virginia privacy rights

Under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, Virginia residents acting in an individual or household context can: confirm whether we process their personal data, access it, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, obtain a copy, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, or profiling. Organically SEO LLC has never sold personal data and will not.

We respond to requests within 45 days of receipt. That period can extend once by another 45 days when reasonably necessary, with notice and the reason. If we decline a request, you can appeal by emailing ryan.organically@gmail.com; we answer appeals in writing within 60 days. If your appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to the Attorney General.
